Death Notice of Ken Harrison

Kenneth Elroy "Digger" Harrison, of Priceville and formerly of Proton Township, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 21st, 2019 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Katie Harrison (nee Burnett) for 49 years. Loving father of Krista Harrison and her partner Larry Mortley, and Kevin "Plug" Harrison and his wife Cheryl. Cherished grandfather of Ethan and Teryn Harrison. Dear brother of Doug Harrison and his wife Mary, and Lorne Harrison and his wife Liz. Brother-in-law of Marg and Gary Doig, Bill Burnett, and Ben and Linda Burnett. Predeceased by his parents Elroy and Eva Harrison. Digger was a councillor for Proton Township and later served as Deputy Mayor for the Township of Southgate, he loved music and travelled throughout Ontario with his band "Campfire Country" and he enjoyed wintering in Texas and singing at various Texas parks.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Digger's life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham on Tuesday, November 26th at 3 p.m., followed by a time to visit with his family for a traditional Irish wake and farewell party until 7 p.m. Please "come as you are" in casual attire.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Durham Food Bank, Flesherton Food Bank or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
