David Cotterell

In loving memory of David Edward Cotterell, who fell asleep in Christ peacefully on May 4th, 2020 at Chapman House, Owen Sound, in his 73rd year. Dearly beloved husband of Elisabeth and dear Dad of Verity Suntz (Joel), Esther, and Bethany, and precious Grampy of Phinehas and Abiyah. Much loved brother of Nancy McLean (Rob) in Australia, and Rebecca Moss (Ken) in Michigan. Missed, and with many happy memories by extended family in Canada, U.S.A., Australia and England. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Isabel Cotterell and his brother Andrew. David was a wonderful musician and an exceptional teacher. He taught music to hundreds of students in the Grey Bruce community during the past 30 years, and as one parent has said "David blessed many with his gift of music". He was also an avid gardener and landscaper, loved nature and was creative in all areas of his work. David was an active member of the Christadelphian church where he shared his love of music through leading various choirs and playing the piano and organ at services. His Faith gave him the Hope of the resurrection and everlasting life when the Lord Jesus returns to establish God's Kingdom on earth.

To honour David's wishes, cremation has taken place and a service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving will be held at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Susan Batten, VON and the team at Chapman House.
