Baptist, Myrtle


Myrtle Irene Baptist (nee Simpson), of Durham, passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale on Tuesday, December 1st, 2020 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Gerald Baptist and the late Charles Matheson. Loving mother of Ed Matheson and his wife Brenda, Larry Matheson and his wife Karen, and Shirley Matheson and her husband Tom Gunn. Cherished grandmother of Derek and Colby Matheson, Cynthia and David Roy, Jennifer and Jim McGillivray, Stacey and Dustin Brown, Andrew and Michelle Matheson, Amelia McCarthy and Derek Vokes, and James and Maureen McCarthy. Great-grandmother of William, Tatum, Alex, Kentaya, Alice, Clara, Jesse, Kiera and Mackenzie. Special aunt of Doug Harper.

Celebration of Life:

A private funeral service celebrating Myrtle’s life will be held. Friends and extended family are welcome to view the service via live stream on Friday, December 4th at 2 p.m. by visiting the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/mccullochwatson/).
Interment at Durham Cemetery.
