Death Notice of Chris Schieven

Christiaan Berend Schieven, resident of Birmingham Lodge Retirement Community, Mount Forest, passed peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Friday, August 20th, 2021 in his 81st year. Eldest son of the late Christiaan and Gerritje Schieven. Dear husband of Jean (nee McLeod) for 57 years. Cherished father of Chris and his wife Sherry, Paul and his wife Delisa, and Jeff and his wife Charity. Grandfather of Tyler, Kyle, Sierra (Brandon), Arielle (Rhys), and Jennifer (Emmanuel). Great-grandfather of Delilah May, Carter, Miguel, Dominic and Leo. Survived by his siblings Berend (Judy), Rikie (Peter), Gerrie (Bill), John (Deb), Gerald (Chantel) and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grandson Devin and his sister-in-law Cindy.

Psalm 90, verse 10 - The length of our days is 70 years, or 80, if we have the strength, yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass and we fly away.

A private graveside service will be held at the Swinton Park Cemetery.
