Jim Hutchinson

Calvin James Hutchinson, of Priceville, passed away with his loving family by his side at London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital on Friday, March 15th, 2024 in his 65th year. Loving husband for 44 years and best friend of Denise (nee Hopkins). Supportive and loving father of Justin Hutchinson and his wife Michelle, Courtney and her husband Adam Hale, Brittany and her husband Troy Bonterre, Curtis Hutchinson and his wife Katlin, and Emily and her husband Braden McGregor. Proud grandpa of Tristan, Wyatt, Baxter, Naomi; Mason, Spencer, Victoria; Zachary, Charlotte, Adeline, Aliyah, Kai; Sawyer, Amelia, Parker, Lawson; Thatcher, Hucksley, Lucy and Heston. Dear brother of Linda and Ralph Darroch, Sharon and Dave Harrison, Bonnie Hutchinson and Norb Christmann, and Judy and Mike MacNeill. Brother-in-law of Dean and Elaine Hopkins, Brent and Cindy Hopkins, Paula and Tim Mackey, and Joanne and John Johnson. Jim will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Calvin and Betty Hutchinson, and his parents-in-law Robert and Marlene Hopkins.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Wednesday, March 20th from 1 – 3 and 6 – 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Jim’s life will be held at the Durham Community Centre, 451 Saddler Street West, Durham on Thursday at 11 a.m.  Interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Priceville.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Diabetes Canada, Durham Presbyterian Church (general fund), Terry Fox Foundation or Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated by the family.
