J.D. Hopkins

Passed away at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013. James David "J.D." Hopkins, of RR#1 Elmwood, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Brown). Loving father of Keith Hopkins and his wife Cheryl, Kevin Hopkins and his wife Anna, and David Hopkins and his friend Cindy. Cherished poppa of Tyler (Jennifer), Justin (Robyn), Brendan (Kortney), Nolan (Victoria), Katelin (Devin), Mark (Ashley) and Scott. Dear brother of Mae MacLean, Isabel Edge, Donelda Hastie, Noreen and Mel Barfoot, and Oren and Deanna Hopkins. Brother-in-law of Marlene Hopkins and Orval and Betty Brown. Predeceased by an infant son, his brothers Carman Hopkins and Robert Hopkins, and his brothers-in-law John MacLean, Dan Edge and Bob Hastie. J.D. will always be remembered for his love of family, friends and farming.

A celebration of J.D.'s life will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment at Durham Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation or the Durham and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
