Deborah Hamilton-Hunt

Deborah Marie Hamilton-Hunt (nee O'Day), of Durham, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 15th, 2023 in her 67th year. Beloved wife of David Hunt. Loving mother of Sheri Lyn Hamilton-Caron and Dan Dean, Jim Hamilton and Michelle Stangler, Charleen and Chris Talbot, Stephanie Hunt and Josh Harrison, and Phillicia Hunt and Josh McKibbon. Cherished grandmother of Cody, Jared, Brodie, Lucas, Bryer, Savanna, Denisha, Damien, Logan, Kaylynn, Myah, and Mason. Deborah was looking forward to welcoming her first great-granddaughter, Alaina, in June. Dear sister of Maurice O'Day and the late Diane, Dan Sowiluk, and Bonnie Sowiluk-McSpurrin and Don. Sister-in-law of Dennis and Sharon Hunt. Dearest aunt of Doug and Cassandra Hunt, James and Nicole Hunt, and Michael and Emily Hunt. Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Emily Sowiluk, and her sisters Judy, Clara and Cathy O'Day.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Tuesday, April 18th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Deborah's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham Food Bank or Meal on the Hill, would be appreciated by the family.
