Ethel "Rose" Hopkins

Ethel Rose Hopkins (nee Day), of Durham, passed away at Strathcona Long Term Care, Mount Forest on Saturday, July 8th, 2023 in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Seth Hopkins. Loving mother of George Hopkins, James Hopkins, Ann and her husband Robert Scheuerman, David Hopkins and his wife Mary, and Louise and her husband Mark Grove. Fondly remembered by her 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Predeceased by an infant son, her parents George and Margaret “Peggy” Day, and her siblings Milton Day, Ann Robinson, Patricia Day, and Margaret Ihnat. 

A memorial service celebrating Rose's life will be held at Durham Baptist Church on Saturday, July 15th at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from 10 - 10:45 a.m. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Trinity Anglican Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Durham Baptist Church or the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
