Jean Cluchey

Jean Margaret Cluchey, of Durham, passed away peacefully at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Sunday, March 27th, 2022 at the age of 93. Jean was born in Hanover on February 15, 1929, she had six sisters and one brother. Predeceased by her husband Ogle Cluchey Jr. in 2008. Dear mother of James Cluchey and his wife Celine of Gattiques, France, Mary Lee and her husband Jerry Lane of Brainerd, Minnesota, Larry Cluchey of Neustadt, and Jeffery Cluchey of Exeter. Sadly missed by her grandchildren: Yann, Jennifer, Michelle, Kieran, Rebecca, Megan, and Olivia. Fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren: Luka, Evelyne, Nathan, Travis, Mikenna, Wesley, Lily, Kayla, and Henry. Survived by her older sister (age 99), Florence Airth of Burlington. 

For many years Jean was a bookkeeper for her husband's construction company that employed dozens of workers from the Durham area. Later in life during a long retirement she spent many joyous days working in her flower and vegetable gardens.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Friday, April 1^st from 7 – 9 p.m.  

A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 1 p.m. Masks are recommended and we encourage you to confirm your attendance. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Durham Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
