Norm Marshall

Norman Alexander Marshall, of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Friday, October 20th, 2023 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Henderson). Loving father of Nancy and her husband Doug Wilton, Susan and her husband Rob Nixon, and Jeff Marshall. Cherished grandfather of Scott (Maggie), Megan (Colby), Dean, John (Chanelle), Natalie (Greg), Gabby, Maddison (Tevin), and Dawson. Dear brother of Erma McFadden. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Kelly Marshall, his parents Dawson and Lily Marshall, his siblings Joyce Mason, Wayne Marshall, Beatrice Fuller, and Norma Marshall, and his parents-in-law Archie and Doris Henderson. 

Norm was a teacher and he taught industrial arts at both DDCS and DDHS for over 30 years. He loved the community of Durham and was an avid member and active volunteer. He enjoyed any game and all the better if he was the winner.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Sunday, October 22nd from 1 – 5 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Norm’s life will be held at the Durham Presbyterian Church on Monday at 11 a.m. Private interment of cremated remains at the Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham Presbyterian Church (general fund) or the Durham Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
