Marie Cooke

Marie Cecile Harnden-Cooke (nee Toporowski), formerly of RR#1 Chesley, passed away at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023 in her 105th year.  Beloved wife of the late Ron Harnden and the late Wallace Cooke.  Loving mother of Donna and her husband Bob Loree.  Mother-in-law of Rose Harnden.  Cherished grandmother of Ron Harnden, Marty Harnden, Jason Lambert, Wanita Hermelink, Trevor Lambert, Rob Loree, and Bryan Loree.  Great-grandmother of Tiffany, Travis, Jesse, Teague, Zachary, Xavier, Marcus, Emma, Lucious and Trinity; and great-great-grandmother of Dominic and Ava.  Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her son Ron Harnden, her grandson Dave Harnden, 3 brothers and 6 sisters. 

A funeral service celebrating Marie’s life will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Monday, November 27th at 11 a.m., with visitation prior to the service from 10 – 10:45 a.m.  Interment at Huxley Cemetery, Hillsburgh.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Brucelea Haven Activation Fund would be appreciated by the family.
