John Rydall

John Harvey Rydall, formerly of Durham, passed away at Country Lane Nursing Home, Chatsworth on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024 in his 79th year.  Dear father of Sherry Lynn (Dave), Calvin Rydall (Maureen), Adam Rydall, and Evan Rydall (Carley).  Cherished grandfather of Erin (Marc), Rebecca (Sisco), Kirby (Will), Amy (Jamie), and Levi. Great-grandfather of Riley, Madeleine, Keenan, Jaden, and Owen.  Dear brother of Patricia Smith.  Also remembered by Heather “Archie” McLean.  Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Rose (nee Saunders) Rydall, his siblings Edith McCulloch and her late husband Bob, Shirley Silverthorne and her late husband Frank, and Richard “Dick” Rydall and his late wife Ruth, his brother-in-law Merv Smith, and his first wife Joan (nee Ferguson).

Cremation has taken place.  A come and go celebration of John’s life will be held at the Durham Legion on Sunday, February 25th from 1 - 4 p.m. Spring interment of cremated remains at Edgehill Cemetery, Colpoy’s Bay.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
