Bill McFadden

William “Bill” Lawrence McFadden, of Durham, passed away at the Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, March 11^th, 2024 in his 83^rd year.  Beloved husband of Clara McFadden (nee Alexander).  Loving father of Steven McFadden, Gregory McFadden and his wife Sheryl, and Susan and her husband Steve Torrie.  Cherished grandfather of Mitchell McFadden and his fiancee Kinsley, Emily McFadden, Cody Dixon and his wife Samantha, Curran Dixon, Scott Dixon, and Jackalyn Torrie.  Great-grandfather of Theodore William Dixon.  Brother-in-law of Erma McFadden, and Jean Wells.  Predeceased by his sister Glenna and her late husband Allie McGirr, and his brothers Murray McFadden, and Lloyd McFadden and his late wife Norma.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Thursday, March 14th from 6 – 8 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at the Durham Presbyterian Church on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment of cremated remains at the Durham Cemetery Columbarium. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Durham Hospital Foundation or the Durham Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
