Sharon Hand

Sharon Ann Hand (nee Montgomery), of Durham, passed away at the London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Art Hand. Loving mother of Wendy Irwin, and Trevor Hand and his wife Bonnie. Cherished grandmother of Ryan, and Robin and his partner Ashley. Great-grandmother of Zoey, Aubrey, Ryatt, and Autumn. Dear sister of Jacqueline and her husband Bob Chambers, Brad Montgomery and his wife Maureen, Trudy Wharton and her husband Richard, Stuart Montgomery and his wife Kate, and Corrie and her husband Wayne McKee. 

A funeral service celebrating Sharon’s life will be held at the Durham Legion on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 1 – 1:45 p.m. Spring interment at Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home.
