Lois Lyons

Lois Doreen Mae Lyons (nee Harvey), of Markdale, passed away at Grey Gables, Markdale on Sunday, March 24th, 2024 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Laverne Lyons (2019). Loving mother of Debra and her husband Greg Larsen, Marcia and her husband Neil Trevithick, and Lorie and her husband Peter Stevenson. Cherished grandmother of Andrea and Leah (Kent); Amy (Keith), Nathan (Michelle), Michelle (Clint), and Elyse (Dean); Chantal (Matt) and Mitchell. Great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of Velma Edwards and sister-in-law of Isabel Harvey. Predeceased by her siblings Gerald, Earl, Lloyd, Russell (late Joyce), Donald, Leonard (late Alieda), Laverne (late Pat Hamilton), Sadie (late Alvin McFadden), Muriel (late Lawrence Stevens), and Tressa (late Clarence Tebbutt); sisters-in-law Willa Mae (late Jim Arnold), and Audrey (late Don MacDonald). 

A funeral service celebrating Lois’ life will be held at Annesley United Church, Markdale on Thursday, March 28th at 1 p.m., with visitation being held prior to the service from 12 – 12:45 p.m. Interment at Markdale Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Annesley United Church, Brinsley United Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
