Jacques Leroux

Jacques Cyprien Leroux, was born on December 24, 1945, in Montreal, Quebec. Surrounded by family and friends, Jacques passed away at the South Grey Bruce Health Centre on Monday, March 25th, 2024. He courageously fought cancer for over 10 years and in his 79th year, he made his journey to Heaven. He was the beloved husband of the late Jo-Anne Leroux, loving father of Shannon Leroux, grandfather of Troy Greathead (Nicole Lockley) and Kamryn Leroux (Sept 10th 2000-April 5th, 2024), and dear brother of Andre Leroux. Jacques was a favorite uncle to many, an avid woodworker and a skilled artist whose passion was fueled by his love of God. Alongside his wife, he ministered to those in need at The Still Life Christian Retreat for 27 years, demonstrating his love for humanity through his work with the Lord. His outgoing personality, desire to help others, and all-around kindness will be remembered and cherished by those blessed enough to have met him. An interment service celebrating Jacques’ life will be held at Durham Cemetery on Thursday, May 2nd at 3 p.m. There will be a Celebration of Life for the Leroux family to honour both Jacques and his granddaughter, Kamyrn, at a later date in May 2024.
