Death Notice of Katharine "Kate" Webber

Katharine “Kate” Webber (nee Walter), of Durham, passed away peacefully with her children by her side at Chapman House, Owen Sound on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 in her 69th year. Loving mother of Shaun, Erik and Jaimee and “furoma” of Winston. Dear sister of Willie Walter and his partner Susan, Helmut Walter and his wife Judi, Fred Walter and his wife Jeanette and Anthony Walter. Predeceased by her parents Irma (nee Gregora) and Wilhelm Johann Franz Walter and sister Irma Marie Walter.

Kate was most passionate about her family and friends, as well as her work for many years with Community Living.

We would like to thank all of those who cared for her at the London Health Sciences Centre Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre, Ontario Health at Home, CarePartners and the Grey Bruce Hospice - Chapman House, for their dedication to her care and final journey.

In keeping with Kate’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

A come and go tea celebrating Kate’s life will be held at the Durham Legion, 271 Bruce Street North, Durham, on Saturday, August 24 from 1 – 3 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or Chapman House (cheques payable to Grey Bruce Hospice Inc) and may be made at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home.
