Death Notice of Emily "Em" Wood

Em
#17strong
Emily Madison Wood
January 12, 2008 - October 10, 2024

At 1700hrs on October 10, 2024 our Em took her last breath on this earth by her terms surrounded by those who loved her. She now watches over her mama Christina, her daaaady Brad, her much less mature older brother Clay and her "big" sister in law Rachel.

Her zoo of critters have been entrusted to daaady to ensure he continues to feel the love she poured into her fur babies.

Her family celebrating her life with us are Ur Oma, Grandma and Mark, Grandpa Mark and Bo-nana, Auntie Alice, Uncle Steve-o and Aunt Brit, Aunt Christine and Uncle Kyle, Aunt Carl and Uncle Matt, Aunt Elisha and Uncle Cuber, Aunt Stacey and Uncle Alex, Michelle, Sqwalleen and Uncle Ian, LuLu and Lance, momma two Mel and Uncle Fester, Kim and the three young ladies who loved her the most. The one who loved her the mostest toastest, lowstest, her girlfriend Briar.

Her inseparable baseball bestie sweet Aubs who understood her quirky side.

And her lifetime cheerleader, ear to listen with, adventure seeking pain in her butt who consumed her heart with so much love the Miss Abigail Bye. Their bond was not that of friends they are sisters of the heart.

She's dancing across the sky now with Ur Ota, Gran, Aunt Roberta, Great Nanny, Uncle Cody, Uncle Adam and Papa John.

Many friends and family across the province, country and world are mourning her leaving this earth. Take comfort in every rainbow, shooting star and aurora borealis knowing her art exhibit is on display.

Please come celebrate Em and her life at the Durham Community Centre at 451 Saddler Steet W, Durham, ON N0G 1R0 on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 4pm - 7pm. Formal attire is highly frowned upon and wild dad shirts and socks are mandatory. The celebration will begin with words from Em's mama Christina and will follow with memories, Em's favourite snacks, bubbles and rubber chicken slingshot fights.

Do Little would want us to continue to take care of the lost animals of the world. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Caroll’s Animal Sanctuary and Rescue or Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
