Marjorie Merkley

Marjorie Georgina Merkley (nee McMullen), of Hanover and formerly of Durham, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Elmer Merkley. Loving mother of Tammy Sider and her partner Jeff Mitchell, Rick Moore and his wife Barb, Stephen Merkley, Richard Merkley, and Margo Kelley. Cherished grandmother of Cayla and Stuart, Jamie and Chris, Malachi, Gabrielle, and Shawna and Kevin. Great-grandmother of Simon, Sullivan, Jude, Miles, Mitchel, and Annalise.  Dear sister of Les McMullen and his wife Anne, and the late Delbert McMullen and his wife Barbara.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at the Durham Cemetery on Saturday, October 26th at 11 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
