Gary Mighton

Gary Victor Mighton, of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Chesley on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Mary Ellen (nee Patterson). Loving father of Paul Mighton and his wife Kerri, Steve Mighton and his wife Kathy, and the late David Mighton. Loving grandfather of Brittney, Hunter, and Montana. Dear brother of Wayne Mighton and his wife Linda. Brother-in-law of Judy Mighton, Alex and Chris Patterson, Margaret and Mike MacMillan, Janette McIntosh, and Kit Patterson. Predeceased by his brother Dan Mighton, his sisters Bernice and the late Jim Flewelling, and Lorna and the late George Barnum, and his brothers-in-law Lewie Patterson, and Norm McIntosh.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Gary’s life will be held at the Durham Legion on Friday, November 15th at 1 p.m., followed by a casual come and go from 2 – 4 p.m. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Canada or the South Grey Hunters Association would be appreciated by the family.
