Jean Wells

Jean Margaret Wells (nee Alexander), of Durham, passed away after a brief illness at Brightshores Health System, Owen Sound on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Norman Wells. Loving mother of Larry Wells and his wife Vicky, and Linda and her husband Marcel Girard. Cherished grandmother of Heaton and his wife Laura, Kirsten and her husband Ryan, Jaison and his wife Katherine, and Kurtis and great-grandmother of Roanna, Pierce, Kai, and Rowan. Dear sister of Clara McFadden. Predeceased by her siblings Robert Alexander and Annie Dowsling, her sister-in-law Florence Alexander, her brothers-in-law Harry Dowsling and Bill McFadden, and her granddaughter Chantal Girard.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Tuesday, October 29th from 6 - 8 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Jean's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 12 p.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Help A Child Smile (a charity for children living with cancer) would be appreciated by the family.
