Death Notice of Jock McLeod
Peter Jock McLeod, formerly of Durham, passed away at Grey Gables, Markdale on Friday, November 1st, 2024 in his 76th year. Jock will be fondly remembered by his Auntie Barb, his South-East Grey Support Services family, his good friend Shirley Atkinson, and his many friends in the community. Predeceased by his siblings Mike McLeod and his late wife Marg, Carol McCreary, and Marnie McLeod. Thank you to the staff at Grey Gables for their care and compassion.
Jock entertained many with his creative antics and pranks. He enjoyed being involved in community events and Fridays at the Legion with the crew. Tim’s cold coffees were a close second to beer at the Legion. He was a man of duct tape, cans of air and having his glasses fixed constantly sometimes using the hot glue gun. Fixing and unfixing dial tv’s, tuners, speakers, smoke alarms and karaoke machines was his passion.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Jock’s life will be officiated by his first cousin, Reverend Ann Veyvara-Divinski, at the Durham Legion on Friday, December 13th at 1 p.m., with members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 308 participating, followed by a come and go celebration of life from 2 – 4 p.m. Interment of cremated remains at Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to South-East Grey Support Services or the Durham Legion would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
