Sheila Hamilton

Sheila Catherine Hamilton (nee McArthur), of Owen Sound and formerly of Priceville, passed away at Summit Place, Owen Sound on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Alex Hamilton. Loving mother of Sandy Hamilton and his wife Kaitlyn, and Shannon and her husband Jim Gibson. Cherished grandmother of Silas, Kaleb, Everett, Cole, Preston, and Ross. Dear sister of Don MacArthur, Rod and Donna MacArthur, Heather Webb, and Laura Goldrick and Len Critchley. Sister-in-law of Lynda Hamilton, Deby and her husband Blaine Ferguson, James Hamilton, Bryon Hamilton and his wife Betty, and Jack Genoe and his wife Tammy. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Janet MacArthur and her parents-in-law Ross and Ruth Hamilton. 

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Sheila’s life will be held at the Durham Community Centre, 451 Saddler Street West, Durham on Sunday, November 10th at 2 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 1 - 1:45 p.m. A come and go celebration of Sheila’s life will be held following the service from 3 - 5 p.m. Private interment of cremated remains at McNeil Cemetery, Priceville. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Durham Baptist Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
