Death Notice of Keith Hastie

Keith Leroy Hastie, of Hanover and formerly of Durham, passed away on Monday, November 25th, 2024 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Jean Hastie (nee Ferguson). Loving father of Patricia Heard, and James Hastie and his wife Ruth Moore. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Bradley and his wife Alyssa, Davis, and Steven. Great-grandfather of Ayla, Cylus and Jamie. Dear brother of Garry and Carol Hastie, and Clifford and Lynne Hastie. Brother-in-law of Joan Hastie. Keith will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Ronnie and his infant brother Beverly.

Keith had a passion for horses and standardbred horse racing, he owned and raised many horses throughout his life and he was proud of his favourite mare, Parkside Princess. 

Cremation has taken place. A come and go celebration of life will be held at the Durham Legion on Saturday, November 30th from 1 – 4 p.m. Interment at Durham Cemetery. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society or New Start Standardbreds would be appreciated by the family.
