Death Notice of Erwin Robb
Erwin Robertson Robb passed away peacefully at the Hanover and District Hospital at the age of 90. Erwin was born in Wellington County to the late Erwin and Marjorie (nee Stephens) Robb.
Erwin was a quiet man who enjoyed the farming life in his early years. Erwin met the love of his life, Elizabeth, and married in 1967. In 1970 they purchased a farm in the former Bentinck Township and lived there until 1987. He was a very active man that worked at Interforest Ltd. near Durham for many years and farmed at the same time. In his later years he continued to ride his bike well past his 90th Birthday. Erwin was devoted to practising his faith. His other hobbies included; playing guitar, songwriting and listening to Country Music.
Erwin is survived by his wife Elizabeth (nee Ziegler) Robb and his sister Shirley McLellan. His children; Ruth Robb, Erwin (Lucille) Robb, Roy (Christine) Robb and Sheryl Robb. Grandchildren; Cynthia (Kyle), Alex (Shelby), Terry and Jenna. Great-grandchildren; Jaycob, Abigail, Nathan and Brooklyn. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Marg Robb, nieces, nephews, in-laws and his extended family. Predeceased by his parents Erwin and Marjorie (nee Stephens) Robb, stepmother Katherine (nee McTavish) Robb, stepmother Eileen (nee Schilling) Robb, brother Bruce Robb, brother-in-law Donald McLellan and granddaughter Melissa.
A funeral service will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Sunday, February 16th at 3 p.m. Pastor Andrew of the Seven Day Adventist Church is officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 - 2:45 p.m. Spring interment at Mount Forest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Foundation or Hanover and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
