Marilyn Gibson

Marilyn Jean Gibson (nee Cullaton), of Durham, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 19^th, 2025, 8 days after her 80^th Birthday.  Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Gibson (2012).  Loving mother of Kelly and her husband Rod Grein of Hanover and Kim and her husband Jason Altman of Durham.  Cherished grandmother of Kaitlyn Grein, Josh Grein, Kylie Jarvis (Jon Simo), and Austin Jarvis (Madeline Docherty).  Dear sister of Patricia (John Walsh) and sister-in-law of Steve Dosman, and Karen Cullaton.  Marilyn will be fondly remembered by the Gibson and Willemsen families.  Predeceased by her parents Ab Cullaton and Jean Cullaton Willemsen, and by her siblings Frank Cullaton, Marg Dosman, and Hugh Cullaton. 

Cremation has taken place.  As per Marilyn’s wishes, no memorial service will be held.  Inurnment of cremated remains will be held at the Durham Cemetery Columbarium at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Durham Food Bank or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
