Wilfred Yusek

Wilfred Henry Yusek of Bracebridge, formerly of Durham and Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, February 27th, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family at the age of 99 years.

Loving father of Vaughn Yusek of Thedford, Dawn O’Keeffe and her partner Larry White of Durham, Ronni and her husband Bill McLelland of Sombra, Kerry and her husband Bill English of Val Therese and father-in-law of Ray Beitz of Brantford. Cherished grandfather of Kyle (Julie), Justin, Jessica (Will), Erin, Tyler (Brittany), Breann (Justin), Mark (Carly), Shelbi, Aleisha, and Kailyn and great-grandfather of Violet, Sage, Raelynn, Henry, and Bentley. Wilfred will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Joyce Mosakoski (1992), daughter Bobbi Jo Beitz (2024), daughter-in-law Nancy Kuik (2019), siblings Lee (Allan) Baxter, Jean (Harold) Clark, Stella “Starr” (Steve) Lemick, and his parents Harasym “Harry” and Anna (Kotelko) Yuzek.

Wilf was an avid and very experienced bird watcher, loved volunteering for the Florida state parks, spent many happy years on the golf course, and loved the outdoors.

A celebration of Wilf’s life will be held at a later date with a private family inurnment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Hamilton.
