Nora Eccles

Nora Isabel Eccles (nee Ferguson), of Hanover and formerly of Durham, passed away at McVean Lodge, Hanover on Monday, March 24th, 2025 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Roy Eccles. Loving mother of Pat and her husband Wayne Kress, Jim Eccles and his wife Karen, and John Eccles and his wife Kathy. Fondly remembered by her 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Edith Clark, and Russell Ferguson, and sister-in-law of Eveyln Ferguson, and Marybell and John Nanninga. Predeceased by her son David Eccles, her daughter Debra Eccles, her brother Bill Ferguson, her sister Marjorie and husband Murray Bowman and her in-laws Gord Clark, and Lindsay and Jessie Eccles. Family members would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at McVean Lodge for their care and compassion.

Visitation will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Friday, April 11th from 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Nora’s life will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12th at 1 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 12 – 12:45 p.m. Spring interment at Amos Cemetery, Dromore. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Saugeen Hospice or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
