Bill "Big" Elvidge

William Clifton Elvidge, of Durham, passed away at Chapman House, Owen Sound on Friday, April 18th, 2025 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Marie (nee Beech). Loving father of Jill and her husband Cody Schenk, and Dana and her husband Trevor Speers. Cherished Poppa of Curtis Schenk and his friend Bridgette, Rachel Schenk and her friend Clayton, Ava Speers, and Drew Speers. Bill will be missed by his devoted nephew Rob Elvidge. Dear brother of Ken Elvidge and Rose, Narcia Watson and Russell, and Kathy McDonald-Gies and Arnold. Brother-in-law of Sue Irwin. Bill will be missed by the Beech family, Linda (Blair), Bill (Nova), and Ken. He will be fondly remembered by his many nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his parents William and Dianna Elvidge; his brother-in-law Keith McDonald; and his parents-in-law Bob and Ethel Beech. 

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Durham Legion on Saturday, April 26th at 12 p.m., followed by a come and go celebration of life from 1 - 3 p.m. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Chapman House (cheques payable to Grey Bruce Hospice Inc), Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
