Marion Atkinson

Passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, November 28th, 2011. The former Marion Ellen Brown, of Durham, in her 60th year. Beloved wife of David Atkinson. Dear mother of Tammy Wootton and her friend Bill Keill of Durham, and Tania Atkinson and her friend Carolyn Crandall of Durham. Cherished grandmother of Olivia, Chloe and Jack. Dear sister of Bruce Brown and his wife Diane, John Brown and his wife Teresa, Brian Brown and his wife Kim, Catherine and her husband Cliff Goldsmith, Carol and her husband George Atkinson, Vernice and her husband Bryan Whaling and the late Gloria Lorenz and her husband Elmer Lorenz. Fondly remembered by the Atkinson Family, her many nieces and nephews, and her aunts and uncles. Predeceased by her parents Stan and Audrey Brown.

A celebration of Marion's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment at Durham Cemetery.

Because of Marion's love for children, the family would ask for donations to be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
