Bland Viola

Viola Marie Bland, nee Grills, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully at St. Mary's General Hospital on July 19, 2012, at the age of 82. Vi will be sadly missed by her life partner Osie Shanks, son Lance and his spouse Lorri Medill, son Chris and his fiancé Mary Beth Bruce. Also mourning the loss are six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Grills, along with many friends and extended family members. She was predeceased by her brother Doug. Vi was the founder and publisher of Mosaic magazine, an arts and entertainment publication, serving Grey-Bruce.

Private family service to take place. Memorial service for friends and family to be announced.

In the interim the family extends its deepest wishes that those whom Vi has touched might light a candle in loving remembrance of Vi and in celebration of the love that she shared with so many. Arrangements entrusted to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home.
