Andrew (Andy) Carroll Grant

The salmon and trout of Georgian Bay and Lake Huron can finally breathe a sigh of relief as retired Salmon slayer Andy Grant Sr. will never again roar out on the waters in his trusted Ol' Stogie in search of his allusive bounty.
Passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Sunday, February 17th, 2013 Andy Grant in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the former Patricia Reid. Dear father of Cindy Grant and husband Don Schenk Jr. of Sarnia and Andrew (Andy Jr) and his wife Heather of Durham. Also survived by 5 grandchildren Michael and Jessica Schenk, Natalie Grant-Orton and husband Sandy, Shalane Grant and Scott Kuglin, Andrew Jarrett Grant and wife Courtney. Dear Grampa to 2 great grandchildren Aaliyah and Alexus Schenk. Also survived by one sister Ruth Martin of Sauble Beach and four brothers Garry and Ina, Owen Sound, Lorne and Patti, California, David (Joe) and Meryl, Owen Sound, Kimberley and Brenda, Owen Sound and sister-in-law Carol Grant, Owen Sound. Sadly missed by sisters-in-law Shirley and husband George Scott, St. Catharines, Joyce Reid, Owen Sound and brother-in-law Ted and wife Elinor Reid, Owen Sound. Predeceased by brother Gordon (Duke) and brothers-in-law Wes Martin and Jerry Reid.

A celebration of Andy's life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Durham on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment Durham Cemetery.
