Marko Banjavčić

Was born on December 7, 1927 in Jankovo Selište, Croatia and he passed away on December 22, 2013 at Rockwood Terrace in Durham, Ontario. Survived by his wife Ela of 58 years; sons Tomislav (Liz), Marko and Frank and daughter Carolin; grandfather of Victoria, James and Nicholas; sister Marija Juriić of Mississauga and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Croatia. Predeceased by his parents Marko and Žuža; sisters Barka, Anka and Kata; brother Marko and sister Dragica in infancy.

In accordance with Marko's wishes there will be no visitation and cremation has already taken place. There will be a service at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, 166 Bruce Street North, Durham (519-369-3837) on Saturday, January 4th, 2014 at 1 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.

The family has requested no flowers; donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Assumption Cemetery, Toronto.
