Mary Kalyniak

Passed away at Trillium Court, Kincardine on Sunday, July 27th, 2014. The former Mary Weber, formerly of Kitchener and Durham, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late John Kalyniak whom she married in 1951. Loving mother of Michael Kalyniak and his wife Lucille of Durham, Martha Kalyniak of Kitchener, and Olga Kalyniak and her husband Rick Todd of Kitchener. Cherished grandmother of Ian, Sonya, Shannon, Jonathan, Jeremiah and Alisha. Survived by her sister Katy Sabo. Predeceased by her brother Joseph Weber. Mary was born in Serbia and was displaced during WWII and immigrated to Canada in 1948. She worked at Arrow Shirts in Kitchener until her retirement. Mary was a curious and intelligent person who spoke 4 languages. She was always learning. Mary loved nature and gardening and was an outstanding cook. She had a strong faith and was fully devoted to the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Transfiguration in Kitchener. She loved classical music and she instilled this love in her children and grandchildren. She was very dedicated to her family in Canada and abroad.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's of the Purification Roman Catholic Church, Mount Forest on Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. A graveside service will then be held at Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener on Wednesday afternoon at 3:15 p.m.
