Death Notice of Anne Lehman
Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Thursday, July 31st, 2014. The former Anne Blanche Gomm, of Durham, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Vince Lehman. Loving mother of Lois and her husband Larry Wright of Durham. Cherished grandmother of Laurie and her husband Richard Neale of London, England and Steven Wright and his wife Sarah of Mount Forest. Great-grandmother of Adia, Matthew, Emmie, Jacob, Alyssa, Liam, Julian, Justin and Karley. Survived by her sister Ruby Brown. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Annie Gomm, her sisters Marion Weppler, Nellie Brown, Dorothy Beaton and her infant sister Ruth Gomm, and her brothers-in-law Alfred Weppler, Victor Brown, Keith Beaton and Gordon Brown. Anne enjoyed music and she was active with church work and loved to sing in various choirs. She also loved to read, she enjoyed gardening and she enjoyed various crafts, including weaving and oil painting. Anne had a strong faith and her family was a very important part of her life.
Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Monday, August 4th from 1 - 2 p.m., where a celebration of Anne's life will be held at 2 o'clock. Interment will be held at the Durham Cemetery on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock.
