Death Notice of Rae Guild
Guild, Rae (nee Baumber)
Rae passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences - University Hospital on Thursday, October 30th, 2014 after a brief but serious illness. She will be sadly missed by her husband Torrance "Terry" Guild of Durham, her sister Grace Glass of Guelph, her many nieces and nephews, step-children and extended family, friends and neighbours. She is predeceased by her brother Ross Baumber. Rae enjoyed an accomplished career in Health Care Services in both Owen Sound and Durham, as well as serving as a Medical Officer in the Armed Forces in Canada and abroad. Rae volunteered with CUSO in rural Nigeria, which developed into a lifelong love of Africa. In her later years, Rae enjoyed artistic pursuits in eggery and card making and loved to share her creations with others. Special thanks to niece Lynn Thornton (nee Baumber) who was with her in her final breaths, and to all Hospital staff in both Hanover Hospital and London Health Sciences who gave their very best.
