Velma McEachnie

Passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Tuesday, April 14th, 2015. Velma Ericia McEachnie (nee Goldsmith), of Durham, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Ivan McEachnie. Loving mother of Dianne McEachnie of Durham, Sharon McEachnie of Durham and the late Brian McEachnie. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Bradi and her husband Whipper Watson, Sheena McEachnie and Bram McEachnie and their mother Janice McEachnie. Dear sister of Sydney Goldsmith of Hanover, Florence and her husband Brian Forbes of Hanover, Leroy Goldsmith of Pickering and Cliff Goldsmith and his wife Cathy of Durham. Sister-in-law of Shirley Goldsmith of Durham. Velma will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her brothers Oliver, Alwyn "AG", Roger, Mel and Bev Goldsmith. Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Thursday, April 16th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A celebration of Velma's life will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment at Durham Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Knox United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
