Irene Doherty

Passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Saturday, March 21st, 2015. Irene Emma Doherty (nee Hines), of Durham, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Percy Doherty. Loving mother of Stan (Darlene), Isabell (Wayne) Dowling, Fred (Brenda), Ed (Carol ), Lynda (Larry) Fischer, David, Donna and Steven. Cherished grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Isabel Tiffin, Mary (Gordon) Smith, Blanche Hiltz and Dolly (Roy) Beach. Sister-in-law of Shirley Hines and Earl Reid. Predeceased by her son Frank, her parents Ted and Emma Hines, her brothers Russell, Emerson and Charlie Hines and her sister Joan Reid.

A celebration of Irene's life will be held at the Revealed Word Tabernacle, #133439 Allan Park Road, Allan Park on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment at Latona Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or the Durham and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
