John McKnight

WWII Navy veteran, of Durham, passed away peacefully at Rockwood Terrace Long Term Care Home on Thursday, September 8th, 2016, in his 94th year. Survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Maureen (nee Bradbury); brothers Charles "Chuck" McKnight and his wife Margaret of Toronto and Jim "Buster" McKnight and his wife Margaret of Mississauga. Predeceased by his parents and his sister Margaret Reilly of Toronto. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Rita and brother-in-law Bill (Speed) and family of Sheffield, England and long-time friend Peter Taylor (Wendy Holmes). Missed by his four-legged friend, Ginger. With many thanks to the staff and dedicated caregivers at Rockwood Terrace where he spent his final years and to Dr. Walley.

Cremation has taken place. At John's request no funeral service will be held.
