Ray Melanson

Passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, October 8th, 2016. Raymond Joseph Melanson, of Durham and formerly of Oakville and Moncton, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Watson). Loving father of Raymonde (Dave) of Durham. Cherished grandfather of Crystal, Kayla (John) and Devon (Melanie). Dear brother of Jean Paul Melanson, Simone Bernard (Rheal), and Therese Melanson (Cecile), all of Moncton, New Brunswick. Fondly remembered by the Watson family. Predeceased by his parents Edouard and Rita Melanson and his sister-in-law Faye Melanson. Ray worked for many years as a city transportation driver for Mississauga Transit and he retired to Durham 12 years ago.

As per his wishes, his body has been donated to the University of Western Ontario for science.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce - Chapman House or Grey Bruce Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family and may be made by contacting the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home.
