Harold Martin

Harold George Martin, of Durham, formerly of Port Credit and Oakville, passed away at his home on Monday, July 10th, 2017 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Miller and the late Florence Davies. Sadly missed by his dearest friend Ruth Brown. Loving father of Rodger Martin, Margaret Banks, Norman Martin and his wife Gisela and Tom Martin. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Damian, Rebecca and her husband Andrew, Shannon, Connie and Dorothy and her husband Ken, his great-grandchildren Sam, Aedan, Amelia and Maddy. Predeceased by his sisters Muriel and her late husband Bruce Hill and Doris and her late husband Paul Dinan.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Harold's life will be held at the Durham Legion on Sunday, August 6th from 1 - 5 p.m. with a time to visit with his family and to enjoy one of Harold's favourite activities, Karaoke (from 1 - 1:45 p.m. and 2:30 - 5 p.m.), and members of the Royal Canadian Legion will honour Harold's life with a service at 2 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham Legion or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
