Don MacMillan

Donald William Myatt MacMillan, of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Joyce (nee Wilson) for 49 years. Loving father of Cindy MacMillan and her husband Russell Ayerhart of Durham and Darin MacMillan and his wife Patty Haardeng of Hamilton. Cherished and proud grandfather of Cody Ayerhart, Zachery Ayerhart, Myatt MacMillan and Don was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his 4th grandchild on August 11th. Dear brother of Bonnie MacMillan, Bob MacMillan and his wife Cathy and Janet and her husband Mike Abercrombie. Brother-in-law of Nancy Breadner, Harry and Catherine Wilson and David and Mary Wilson. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Norma MacMillan, his parents-in-law Alex and Isabel Wilson, his sister-in-law Jessie Gristy and his brother-in-law Mac Breadner.

A service celebrating Don's life will be held at the Durham Legion on Friday, July 28th at 1 p.m. followed by a time to come and visit with his family until 5 p.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Durham Food Bank or the Durham and Community Health Care Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
