Eleanor Kearns

Eleanor Margaret Kearns (nee Dobbs), of Durham, passed away at Rockwood Terrace, Durham on Friday, August 25th, 2017 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late D.K MacKinnon (1968) and the late Norm Kearns (2016). Loving mother of Don MacKinnon and his wife Kathy, Kathy Small and her husband Brian Foster, step-mother of the late Arlene Purdie and her husband Jim, and Patricia Vince and her late husband Wally. Cherished grandmother of Mary and her husband Raff Koziolek, John Small and step-grandmother of Scott and Rob Purdie, Sandra Fitspatrick, Shelly Lee, Cassondra, Alesia, Jessie, Cameron and great-grandmother of Lauren Koziolek. Eleanor will be sadly missed by her friends and extended family. Predeceased by her siblings George and Sandy Dobbs, Liz and her husband Bob Amos and Marion Swick McMaster.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Eleanor's life will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 153 Kincardine Street, Priceville, on Thursday, August 31st, at 11 a.m. Interment at McNeil Cemetery.
