Doreen Stoot

Doreen Stoot, of Hanover and formerly of RR#1 Elmwood, passed away at the Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, March 24th, 2018 in her 91st year. Daughter of the late Wilfred and Eileen Stoot. Remembered by her cousins Herb and Louise Stoot, and by her many dear friends and neighbours. Doreen was a retired lab technologist and she had a passion for her garden, her pets, nature and the outdoors, birdwatching and photography. She was involved with the Field Naturalists of Ontario and the Canadian Diabetes Association and she was a former executive director of the Bluewater Association for Lifelong Learning. Doreen was also very active with Girl Guides, she had a passion for music and her Girl Guides choir sang for the Queen. Doreen played the violin with the Georgian Bay Symphony.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Doreen's life will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home on Friday, May 4th at 10:30 a.m.
