Ruth Smith

Ruth Cornelia Smith (nee van Brakel), of Durham, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Friday, January 31st, 2020 in her 82nd year. Loving mother of Kelly Smith, Bradley Smith, Wendy Smith (Robert Mathers), and Jamie and Charlene Smith. Loved by her grandchildren Riley, McKenzie, Jacob, Blake, Bailey, Alex and the late Joshua. Loved by her siblings Grace and Alfred Smolarz of Walkerton, Dianne and Mike Fascinato of Durham, John van Brakel (Dawn Hartman) of Elmwood, and Linda Butler (Pierre) of Durham. Fondly loved and remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Ruth's life will be held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Saturday, February 8th at 11 a.m., with visitation being held prior to the service starting at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated by the family.
