Death Notice of Larry Suter
It is with great sadness we share the passing of John "Larry" Suter, of Hanover and formerly of Elmwood and Burlington area in his 74th year at Chapman House, Owen Sound on Sunday, July 12th, 2020. Larry was born in Hamilton, Ontario to Admiral Nelson Suter and Almeida Wyatt. Larry is survived by his sons Blaine Suter and his wife Joyce, Daniel Suter and his wife Michelle, and their mother Carmen. Cherished grandfather of Alexandra. He is fondly remembered by his brother Don Suter and his wife Marj of Elmwood, sisters Merle Suter and her husband Bill Kingston of Elmwood, and Margaret McClure of Colpoy's Bay, several nieces, nephews and Aunt Georgina Flood of Hanover. He was very special to his partner Diane Hyslop and her family. Larry enjoyed organizing sports such as hockey and baseball. He also had a keen interest in horse racing and was well known for being a trainer for horseman Carl Jamison. He owned his horses while living in the Burlington area. Larry was also well known in Hanover as an interesting vendor at the Hanover Flea Market, always being recognizable by his hat. Larry will be missed by many. The family wishes to express extreme gratitude to the health care professionals for their care and kindness through Larry's brave battle with cancer.
To honour his wishes cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, donations to Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce - Chapman House would be appreciated by the family.
