Death Notice of Catherine Buschleiter Dewar
We are saddened to announce the passing of Cathy Dewar, of Durham on September 22nd, 2020. She leaves an ache in the hearts of her husband, Darrell Dewar, and her children; Kevin, Kim (Dave), Kris (Chuck), and Karla (Keith). She was the beloved Grandmother and "GG" to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she referred to as her "babies".
With her marriage to Darrell, Cathy opened her heart to his daughter-in-law Lisa, his grandchildren; Miriam, Abby (Andrew), and Jeremy, brother-in-law Fred, and to his niece Susan, nephews David, John and their families.
She will be remembered and missed by the Peter family, who welcomed Cathy with loving arms, including Bob, Bill, Marilyn Ellis, Ruth Peter-Nielsen and nephews Chris (Sarah, Bretton, and Corbin) and Todd (Michelle, Connor (Joshua) and Madison).
Cathy will also be greatly missed by the family she gained through her union with the late Jim Scott which includes Mark, Susan, Amanda (Matt), Jessie (Russ), Lynnleigh (John), Greg (Angie), and Francene.
Darrell and family would like to thank the many friends and neighbours who demonstrated their affection through visits, flowers, errands, food and prayers. These gestures were much appreciated and will long be remembered.
Cathy often said, "Don't cry for me" but what she did not understand is that we will cry for ourselves because there will never be another like her. She is in a better place and likely busier than ever lending the angels a hand and taking care of everyone.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Durham Presbyterian Church or CarePartners would be appreciated by the family.
