John Watson

John William Watson, of Durham, passed away on Monday, December 14th, 2020 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Mary (nee VanCleaf). Loving father of Duane Watson and his wife Andrea. Cherished grandfather of Kurtis Watson. Dear brother of Janet Brigham and her friend Harry Groen. Also remembered by his brother-in-law Bill McClanahan. Predeceased by his sister Jean McClanahan, and by his brother Joe Watson. John worked for many years at Homestead Resort, he was passionate about his work and he enjoyed interacting with the customers. He also loved to race stock cars and was an avid fan of car racing.

A private memorial service celebrating John's life will be held. Friends and extended family are welcome to view the service via live stream on Monday, December 21st at 1 p.m. by visiting the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/mccullochwatson/). Interment of cremated remains at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
