Death Notice of Noreen Nelson
Alice Noreen Nelson (nee Troup), of Holstein, passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Friday, April 2nd, 2021 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Nelson Sr. Loving mother of Robert Nelson and his friend Stacy Carter, Ken Nelson and his wife Cheryl, Paul Nelson and his late wife Janine, and Mary and her husband Ross Watson. Cherished grandmother of Jason Nelson (Toshiko), Ashley Raddish (John), Courtney Nelson (Zach), Sarah Smith (Tom), Nicole Buchanan, Blake Nelson, Lance Nelson, Corey Nelson (Lisa), Chance Darroch, Mikayla Watson and Matthew Watson. Fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren, her brother Alex Troup and his wife Joan, her sister Norma Porter and her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Mel and Grace Troup, her infant daughter Brenda, her infant granddaughter Lindsay Nelson, her granddaughter Jana Nelson, and Paul's friend Karen Pratt.
Noreen raised her four children and she also provided a home for countless others as a foster parent for 40 years. She made friends wherever she went and she had a love for playing cards, caring for babies, old time music and attending auction sales and garage sales.

A private funeral service will be held. Friends and extended family are welcome to view the service via livestream on Monday, April 5th at 1 p.m. by visiting the home page of McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home website (mccullochwatsonfuneralhome.ca) or the McCulloch-Watson Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/mccullochwatson/). The livestream will begin at service time and the video will remain posted for viewing afterwards. Interment at Holstein Cemetery.
