Joy Grein

Gertrude Joy Grein (nee Trafford), of Ayton, passed away on Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Ivan Grein. Loving mother of the late Gertrude and her husband Stephen Byers, Gerald Grein and his wife Mary and Janette and her husband Michael Andersen. Cherished grandmother of Mark Byers and his wife Cindy, Heather Byers and her partner Don Tuttle, Adam Grein and his wife Kirsten, Tyler Grein, Nicole Andersen and Emily Andersen. Remembered by her great-grandchildren Nicole, Noah, Isaac, Cameron, Aiden and her great-great-grandchildren Ella and Emma. Predeceased by her brother Clarence Trafford and his wife Edna. Joy was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and enjoyed playing cards and performing with the Ayton Rhythmairs. Joy was an avid crocheter and knitter, providing over 200 washcloths yearly to Operation Christmas Child.

A private funeral service celebrating Joy's life will be held on Wednesday, July 7th. Interment at Union Cemetery, Ayton.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sullivan would be appreciated by the family.
